HEKA HOODS: FROM VISION TO REALITY

Yvette’s journey began with her passion for design and her entrepreneurial spirit. Combining design and business management expertise, she pursued her vision of creating an iconic Australian brand.

Over the years, Yvette developed various projects, acquiring comprehensive entrepreneurial skills, while waiting for the right idea. This moment arrived when she and a business partner developed the first prototype of a bracket-less, aluminium awning system. In this moment, she instantly recognised the market potential of their idea.

Now 10 years later, Heka Hoods is a thriving Australian design & manufacturing business. Striving to innovate and scale the business continually, Yvette looks to the global marketplace for the future of Heka Hoods.

AGILITY AND INNOVATION

Yvette's leadership has propelled Heka Hoods to achieve many milestones. Since the first interstate sales and appearances in architectural magazines, the company has progressed significantly.

Today, Heka Hoods collaborates with leading Australian architects and builders, receives international inquiries, and is featured in over 7,000 projects nationwide – and there is no plan to stop there.

Innovation is at the core of Heka Hoods' strategy, and Yvette plans to drive market growth and market expansion, taking calculated risks to peruse new opportunities.

Still, Heka Hoods has faced challenges. Managing growth, for example, has been a careful process given the company’s commitment to a consistent customer experience and exceptional quality.

Leading a business requires a blend of passion and problem-solving, essential traits for anticipating future challenges and planning accordingly. Simplifying complexities and driving clarity have been crucial in ensuring that Heka Hoods can scale effectively without compromising its core values.
